It's a good place to work and the experience you get will prove invaluable for the next step in your career.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Toronto, ON

I worked at NIKE full-time for more than 10 years

ProsGood salaries and benefits. They also offer stock purchase, retirement contribution matches and annual bonuses.

ConsSince the major reorg a few years ago things have still not been sorted out and jobs are not clearly defined.

Advice to Senior ManagementTalk to you mid and lower level employees, there is a lack of communication and senior managers work with their own agendas in mind.

Incredible experience and career development but lacking in compensation for the level of work given

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Toronto, ON

I have been working at NIKE

Prosgood employee perks, casual yet professional work environment. company has a clear view of their goals and business objectives.

Conscareer growth of it's employee's is not really a priority for the company, there is no incentive for current employees to stay at the company and continue to work hard

Advice to Senior Managementcareer development is key for all employees and it should be taken seriously as it will only benefit nike to further invest in employees' knowledge and skill set. opportunities such as 'stretch projects' are great ways to do this but a 'stretch assignment' can only go on so long before it ends up being a permanent responsibility that the employee should then be compensated for.

How does it get better?

Associate Footwear Developer (Current Employee)
Beaverton, OR (US)

I have been working at NIKE full-time for more than a year

ProsNike is set up to be college-esque. During the summer we have half days on Fridays, frequent parties on Thursday afternoons, and we are sports centric. We have a super fun environment and almost everyone gets along with each other.

ConsBecause Nike is a leader in the industry, it is super competitive. That being said, there is someone who is always after your job. Also, because the company layout is so complex, it may be hard to navigate to new positions.

ProsMany opportunities for advancement if you are a full time employee and wonderful atmosphere to work in.
