Current Employee – been working at NIKE part-time for more than a year
Pros – Growth (only if your enter the company as an assistant manager plus) (or if your primary job is to adulate(brown nose) to as many upper management as you can find)
Fun work staff - with changing schedules and seasonal hires, you can meet a lot of interesting coworkers.
Opportunity to travel - company has many events and actively sends employees to different events*(fully paid)
Casual work environment and dress code
Cons – No Growth - if you start as an "Athlete" show talent, hard work, dedication and get a degree in the management or marketing field, the company will hire outside personnel for advanced positions.
Management - management will consistently lie to employees about company policies (HR dept. however is very transparent and honest)
Management (*at Garden City) creates an adversarial environment between management and employees and also employees vs employees (competitions via NPS surveys of which there are no rewards towards top employees)
No benefits for Part-time Under employees and very expensive for non-management Full-time and Part-time Over employees.
Management expects unlimited availability from employees for part-time employees.
Advice to Senior Management – Be transparent and honest with employees.

Current Employee – been working at NIKE
Pros – Good place to work. Management was good to work with. Leads were treated as if they were managers. Good discount.
Cons – The promotion process. An associate should not have to interview if there is a position for promotion. If there managers feel as if they are qualified, they should receive.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work

Former Employee – worked at NIKE
Pros – Great Atmosphere
Great Uniform
Great Discount on nike products and Affiliated companies
Great Wages..What more can you ask for in a Job
Cons – Sometimes you get scheduled for days you request off, even if you requested in the time you were alotted. I guess this means bad management. And there was really no solution for the influx of customers we would get, it would just be huge battlefield especially during the weekends which made working pretty stressful and there is a lot of international customers so the language barrier could sometimes be a problem too
Advice to Senior Management – Spread the common/popular product around the floor so the associate that is working there doesnt feel overwhelmed since its usually in one area.

Current Employee – been working at NIKE
Pros – Pay is good, you receive bonus checks throughout the fiscal year, benefits such as paid time off, if you are part-time over or full time
Cons – Management does not follow protocols they say everyone should adhere to, difficult to advance on running floor if you are not a runner which is very bias becasue people can becvome full-time after just starting while others after working for years such as myself are still under appreciating and left at a part-time under position, and a huge portion of that is beacuse im not a runner, hard to leave your floor and try to move to a new one, managers talk to you a s if they are well programmed drones when you ask them simplistic questions regarding policy or protocol. They hire additional seasonals and then claim its beacuse our availability is not oopen enough and tell us after they hire them, cutting hours for permanent employees
Advice to Senior Management – Please listen to sales associates,we are the grunts butu many times we do the most work and know what this business is really lacking and needs, thank you

Pros – nike is a great place to work because the company is always trying to find new rpoducts fro the customers. Great
Cons – It is a challenging work so we have to work until late and sometimes don't have the time to enjoy free time.
