    I worked at Microsoft full-time

    Pros

Great people, comfortable environment, good training and of course good pay with benefits.

    Cons

Sometimes I think MSFT people spend too much time in office political games and I'm not sure if MSFT has already found its right direction as a company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Most of the solid manager are good people and you can easily get along with a guy who is actually two or three layers higher than you. But some of the managers are too arrogant and indiffernt...

I worked at Microsoft as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Huge company with diverse functions so there is a lot to learn about running a corporation of that size. Great products makes it easier to do your job. The culture is very collaborative and most people are there to help you.

    Cons

Despite the collaboration, there are lots of people out to make themselves look better. Because of the fast-paced environment people forget about your side of the situation and care about their end results.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look to front line employees to understand how to fix many simple problems such as the systems you are working on.
