Former Employee – worked at McKinsey & Company full-time for more than 3 years

Pros – You learn a lot, work with top people both internally and at clients, solve top management issues, good perks.
McKinsey is a great place to start a career: you grow quickly, learn about several industries and functions, have the opportunity to do a top MBA and in the end, if you find that it is not for you there will be a ton of other companies fighting to get you.

Cons – Long hours, below the average compensation in Brazil (don't know other countries).
And least but most important to me: after some time the learning curve start flattering, every project start looking the same and you start get frustrating on some projects that never leave the paper (or the power point - get used to it)

Cons – Too hierarchical, no opportunity to develop creativeness

- High caliber of colleagues and superiors
- Very meritocratic environment
- Good place for people who like to learn fast and diverse topics

Cons – - Very intense lifestyle
- You have to travel a lot (though less in Brazil/Mexico than other countries)
- Not the coolest environment (e.g. Google)

Advice to Senior Management – - Learn how to adapt to create a more friendly environment
- Improve lifestyle of consultants
- Make the work more fun!
