Worker Opportunity and Development

Project Coordinator (Current Employee)
Toronto, ON

I have been working at McKesson as a contractor for less than a year

ProsTonnes of work opportunities and departments workers could move to and be involved in. Cross functional and departmental opportunities.

Conscompany culture not widely accepted and implemented. Company process and procedure / due process could be extensive and long.

Advice to Senior ManagementCompany culture to be better enforced with champions being found and made to ensure worker compliance in all divisions. Company business process could be reduced and expedited.

-People look at you with Mr. Clean like smiles and lie to your face
-The company will burn out younger employees and senior managers will stand on their shoulders

Advice to Senior Management-HR needs to be more active and listen to employee complaints

Not a place to build a career--a place to be an employee only

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
Richmond, BC

I worked at McKesson

ProsExcellent products developed by top-notch engineers.
If you want a lifetime job or to move around from job to job within the company this is your place.

ConsIf you have a career path in mind, move on to another company as there are next to no opportunities to advance a specific career here.
Tendency to promote "lifers" into management without a thought as to their suitability to manage others. As a result, there are a number of managers here without the skills or abilities to lead or manage their reports.

Advice to Senior ManagementExamine the suitability of potential managers. Just because someone has filled a seat for x number or years, does not make them suitable to manage others.
