    Pros

Great opportunity to start a business without much start-up costs.
The management is engaged in my success.
If you go all in, it will pay off.
Great company. Great Products. Great support.

    Cons

This is a very difficult career to get started. But everyone knows this going in.
The people that complain about this company or any other similar type of company did not do what they said they were going to do and weren't tough enough to do this anywhere, much less here.
    It does not happen overnight.

    Advice to Management

Cut the people from the firm who don't do what they say they are going to do.
Spend more time with the people who are making every effort to make this work.
Keep growing and telling your great story.

  2. While working at Mass Mutual I was treated and respected with nothing more the top notch respect.

    Pros

A couple of good reasons to work here is for success, professionalism and top tier work environment.

    Cons

The biggest challenge of working here was not getting a lot of help prior to testing.

    Advice to Management

Set up some way of getting help while preparing for the many exams one will have to take.

  3. High expectations for employees but no same commitment from company

    Pros

You can learn a few things for example planning. You learn why these insurnace companies make so much money.

    Cons

Training sucked. If i didnt have previous experince i dont know how i would make it. They charge agents for everything and dont help out. Might as well open your own firm. Managers only want to sell whole life

    Advice to Management

Don't focus just on one product. Invest money for traning. Help agents delegate tasks

    Pros

Worked in a captive office supervising and managing insurance agents. Good work-life balance with great relationship with General Manager. Family like atmosphere in office with good support.

    Cons

To much freedom for agents. Difficult to get them to produce. High end expensive products. WL.

    Advice to Management

Provide better lead generation for better qualified sales opportunity.

    Pros

Large budget to use on many, many projects. Lots of assets at your disposal. Pay is good. Bonuses are good.

    Cons

Constant reorganization a never address the root of a problem. MMWay is over burdening teams with work that does not benefit out customers.

    Advice to Management

You ask for input from FLAs, then do not listen.

  8. People were helpful, however no base salary, all commission. People will not be satisfied with slow start

    Pros

People are helpful when you are starting out

No base salary which one needs out of college, all commission

    Advice to Management

Have a small base salary for recent college grads.

    Pros

Some commissions are good and renewals can build up

    Cons

Training is terrible and support from Home Office doesn't exist. The longer you stay the more difficult it becomes for you to make the quotas. Seems they want to get you to enroll family members and clients, then they dump you so they no longer have to pay you the renewals. It goes with meager benefits they offer and expect you to pay for. You having so much money the company could easily be a little generous to its field agents who are bringing in the business.

    Advice to Management

Share the wealth. Seems home office lives in a tower looking down on the workers.

    Pros

good benefits, paid vacation first year is 2 weeks, gym on site, huge cafeteria, 401k match 5%, HSA account

    Cons

hard to move up, the little mistakes are brought to your attention a lot with hardly ever praise, the higher ups get heated underground garage, everyone else has to walk a mile in the snow to reach the building. they are growing the presence out in Arizona and slowing down new training classes for spfld.

    Advice to Management

dont be friends with the people you are managing. It makes it difficult for the ones you arent social with outside of work. It makes work uncomfortable.
