Hollywood, CA (US)

Former Employee – worked at Live Nation full-time for more than a year

ProsTicket purchase benefits. Some exposure to entertainment industry.

ConsHeavy workloads, management practices not up to date. Unrealistic understanding of projects, and timelines. Insider's game. On the marketing side, vision of management seems limited to carving profits out of standard partnerships (e.g. more ticketing channels) and maximizing revenue on trinkets (coke & tshirt revenue). LiveNation could be a much bigger influence for good in the music world. Why not build your own brand?

Advice to Senior ManagementUpdate management practices. Try to really see what managers are really getting things done, and which ones a sliding through. Try to look past the middle management tier and see the talented employees that are really getting the job done.

Tinley Park, IL (US)

Former Employee – worked at Live Nation part-time

ProsSome of the best co-workers. Everyone lived for their job and loved it. I even had the chance to brush elbows with celebrities.

ConsThe pay was not equal to the work done. I frequently felt as I should have been paid more and they removed the yearly raise in salary the year I began working.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou're doing a great job!

ProsGreat environment to work in. This is a great way to get your foot in the door and is a fun industry to work in. I was able to meet a lot of people and make some great contacts.

ConsUnpaid internship. Most internships do not lead to jobs so be prepared to make sacrifices that may not pay off in the future.

Houston, TX (US)

Former Employee – worked at Live Nation full-time for more than a year

ProsIt's a great, growing company that is constantly changing, so day-to-day brings different challenges and opportunities are explored.

ConsFeels like there is a disconnect between upper management and branch offices. Can be stressful during show season and new opportunities can be sticky situations for awhile.

Advice to Senior ManagementHold more town hall style meetings and keep the lower employees in the loop better.

Chicago, IL (US)

Former Employee – worked at Live Nation as an intern for less than a year

ProsI was able to take on a lot of responsibility and work closely with the Sponsorship Coordinator. I got to do something different every day which was a nice change of pace.

ConsIt wasn't paid and during the interview process I was told that there would be perks like free concert tickets, but when I asked for tickets to a show they said they weren't able to get them for me.
