I worked at Jamba Juice part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The best reasons to work here is that you are working amongst people your age (assuming your in high school or college). The team spirit and moral is often very high

    Cons

Your clothes can get really dirty and wet. The smell of fruit can somethings be overwhelming if the stock bins are not clean

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Having a more regular schedule for employees. They seem to only hire part time employees.

I worked at Jamba Juice part-time for more than a year

    Pros

I worked at a Jamba Juice while I was in college - it was a great experience. I'm guessing it varies team to team, but I had a great rapport with my co-workers. They were very sensitive to make scheduling work with school. I was promoted quickly to shift manager and enjoyed my peers, supervisors, and subordinates. I got a $.25 raise from minimum wage within 3-4 months, and a promotion with an additional $1.25 raise within 6. Had I stayed longer, another $.25 raise, as well as promotion to assistant manager probably would have been on the table.

    Cons

We were a franchise and our owners were a little over-bearing. That wouldn't be the case at every location and honestly it wasn't anything terrible or frequent.

I have been working at Jamba Juice full-time

    Pros

The company makes a great product. The benefits and bonuses for management can be good. If you like or need a varied scheduled this is perfect for you. Agm, shift lead and team member positions are great for students or as a second job. Gms are only required to work 40-45hrs.

    Cons

The company has a very poor labor model. You must be able to manage multiple priorities in a very fast paced environment. The goals given are often unreasonable. It's very difficult to retain good employees because the pay for part time employees is not competitive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your store operators. Test products in multiple store types and consider the flow of business. Change the labor model. Stores need more labor to serve the guests at the high level that is expected.

I have been working at Jamba Juice part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The company itself feels like it cares for its employees. It is a good place to learn to work under lots of pressure. 50% off for employees. Great way to learn how to offer great customer service. Tips can pay well.

    Cons

Management can be despondent. Sell, sell, sell mentality is a lot of extra work for an already busy agenda. Guests can be difficult to deal with. They will work you to the bone. Poor training regiment. High turnover rate of employment. Unpredictable hours.

I worked at Jamba Juice part-time for more than a year

    Pros

You'll get experience working with the public and working under stress(especially during the summer). You also receive a fifty percent off discount for working there.

    Cons

They're really stingy and they have a culture of distrusting their employees and investigating them and using scare tactics to find out if you are making free smoothies for yourself. Never happened to me but happened to some coworkers.

I have been working at Jamba Juice

    Pros

Flexible hours if you work for the right store manager, and a great way to develop your customer service skills, as you deal with customers on a day to day bases.

    Cons

Not enough money for all the things they ask for you to do, and no benefits as a shift manager. So it feels more like your just a head team member then a manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give us back paid vacations and the title of shift leader. We work hard so we disserve to be compensated for our hard work.
