    Good job advancement opportunities for those that are willing to work hard without continuously complaining

    Office management not being able to visualize the overwhelming work loads of some and spreading it out so employees are not burnt out

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    View overall employee work loads by dealer, account sales per year, # of salesman per account, dealer proximity to JELD-WEN plant to determine work load of employees. Better tools to deal with customer questions, quicker changes to company quoting and internal system.

    Company decides when or if to give bonuses. No control over own destiny.
    Company retirement held hostage as the company stock continues to decline.
    Current management has little concern for employees.
    ONEX has cleaned house destroying previous company values and culture

    Management needs to take control of the company from investors to return the company back to the days when JELD-WEN's culture was driven by the "Golden Rule."

    GM, agm, are dinosaurs, pm inexperienced and manages by inducing fear and threating our jobs daily.

    Advice for JELD-WEN, get a new GM with people skills, remove the AGM and replace the PM. New GM to create a positive working environment. where it is one rule for all employees, add some diversity in management, have no favorites and this will eliminate the hostile work environment.

    Pay is good and you are guaranteed one day off. Paid holidays.

    Cons

    the management are a bunch of idiots. Everything that is done there is done on a day to day basis. No one plans anything and some days you are forced to drop all your plans and come to work. Call offs are based on a point system, so you better remember how many points you use because the people upstairs dont keep accurate track so there is a chance that they will just fire you if they feel like it. In this company Gays have more rights than anyone else. So if you get in a fight with a homosexual, dont expect the management to believe anything you say.

    stop hiring kids straight out of college who dont know anything about the company and how it is ran.

    Pros

    Company is willing to relocate, good benefits, and has solid training programs on company products. Friendly environment at production facilities only.

    Cons

    "Little room for advancement, pay scale for women at corporate level is noticably lower than for men. Mediocre salaries compared to industry, only women in upper executive level positions have many years with company. Encourage employees to further education with promise of further advancement, nothing ever materializes. Management reductions come too often across company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The new leadership no longer holds or promotes the company values and culture that was established by the Wendt Family. This has been detrimental to employee morale at every level within the company. The entire attitude of corporate appears to have changed, and ethics and values forgotten once corporate moved to Charlotte. Upper management is in CYA mode, and not moving the company forward as a lean organization.

    Send your employee to training, have more employee related events to praise your employees during the work week. Give your employee raises.
