Former Employee – worked at J.B. Hunt full-time for more than a year
Pros – great company, good pay rate, friendly staff who is very helpful for drivers
Cons – some drivers seem to get more miles and the owner/operators get preference over company drivers from what I saw. Company drivers do a lot of sitting and waiting for loads. Load miles too short, Not many loads over 250 miles. That is J B Hunt way of doing business. They take the short loads no other company wants and they are making money. It is just not great for a driver! Mostdrivers like
Advice to Senior Management – Maybe they can look at getting more long mile loads. Things may have changed since I was there.

Current Employee – been working at J.B. Hunt full-time for more than a year
Pros – Catered lunches at $5.00. Exercise equipment, locker rooms. Nice walking/running track and healthy living programs coordinated by HR.
Cons – Extremely stressful. Mediocre pay for the work done. Very small raises. Bonuses always seem to end up being lower than projected due to something lowering our EPS (like payouts to retirees).

Current Employee – been working at J.B. Hunt full-time for more than a year
Pros – learning experience, work well with school schedules.
Cons – 7am-5pm work days, not 8/9-5. Micro-managin at it's finest. bottom of the barrel pay.
Advice to Senior Management – Sales and operations need to be better connected. They need to take better care of the employees, they have a lot of smart, hard working employees that don't get any acknowledgment and end up leaving.
