    Pros

the benefits package. the free hot lunch. thats about it. the human resourse staff seemed caring and friendly at first but when you are around for awhile you start seeing and hearing the fake ness.

    Cons

i was employed with this company from May 2014 to April 2015. They seemed to be a great company to work for. I was homeless the entire time I worked for them, as a result there were times that I arrived late. i think the 16 points rule is fair but in some circumstances, its unfair. I feel it was pointless to have a meeting with house keeping every single morning, repeating the same information over and over. I can see if i was late getting started with my assingment for the day. They always talking about the time we spend on the clock when actually if we are scheduled to be there at 9 and get started as soon as we get there like every other hotel/motel i have worked for then we probably would not be getting out of there 5-6:30 almost on a daily basis. The list there daily are 16-18 rooms long per day .I have even gotten to 22 rooms. It broke my heart that they knew my situation and all the hard work i have done at this place and still they fire. I was just getting my life back on track. just got in a new home a week ago with my two young sons and these animals were more concerned about attendance issues rather than give me a suspension. what is this world coming too?

    Pros

There are plenty of propertied owned by Interstate throughout the country, the ability to relocate is not an issue.

    Cons

The company really only cares about profits and acquiring new properties. No importance is placed on making sure the employees feel valued.

    Advice to Management

Managers should take courses and training on actual management theories and how to build a strong team.

    Pros

Many locations, always expanding but then losing properties

    Cons

Definitely a full service/resort focused company that was unprepared to take on limited and select service properties.

    Advice to Management

Be prepared internally when taking on large portfolios

    Pros

That we get free food for lunch, but sometimes what is served is not even edible.

    Cons

They don't provide any training, even though they promise to provide training when you first start. I was promised many things when I was hired. But, due to the revolving door that is turnover, there was no one here anymore within just a few months of being hire. My promises of a bonus, training and a raise were all denied by the new management team because no one had a record of it in writing. It is the most frustrating and depressing job I have ever had. Morale of all the employees is terrible.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees right. Provide decent meals. I would rather pay a couple dollars than get free food that is not edible.
