I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Intel funded our startup division Intel Media and eventually spun it off to Verizon.

Intel made sure we had the right talent and resources to really innovate.

Fantastic benefits, ESPP, stock grants, bonuses, work/life balance. I really am proud to say I worked for Intel.

There is a employee cash bonus and accelerator.

The culture is that of get it exactly right and be respectful of others.

    Cons

Intel really missed on the mobile window and is now trying to catch up. The stock performance really reflects that. Intel is a great, long term place to work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

While I wish they had retained our TV endeavors, I completely respect Mr. Krzanich's direction to put investment towards wearable and mobile chips.

Also, continue to move to a meritocracy based performance model to reward individuals for great work.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Tremendous opportunity to understand many facets of business operations as rotations and movement is encouraged and expected. Work-life balance is what you make it and most groups allow you to own your schedule and elected balance.

    Cons

While this is a super company, it is a large organization that can stumble with swift market moves. Compensation lagging what the market demands for the cost of living in this area.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Work in the cutting edge.

    Cons

Extremely political environment. There are many senior people who get a lot of money but don't do much work.
If you are just good at work and want to move up in this company ....forget about it. Almost 90% of the people who have moved up the chain in this company is either because they sucked up to somebody or they are good at office politics.
