I worked at Intel Corporation as a contractor (more than 10 years)

    Pros

This is a great company with a huge potential. They are always seeking to be the best in many different fields. Intel is a locomotive for innovation and for the years ahead. Intel is involved in so many companies and is bringing moocher than processors.

    Cons

There is too much politics at times, as it is still a top down company. This of course brings a lot of pros for Intel as a leader in manufacturing and in innovation in terms of new product, but also yields a lot of waste of talent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get more external contractors and consultants to help forge the strategic positioning of Intel in different sectors. This has proven its efficiency and can do it more, specially in Innovation and outside of the US.

I worked at Intel Corporation as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Really do place a lot of importance on work life balance. For interns and new hires especially, they have a ton of work sponsored events and ways to meet other employees.

    Cons

Could be very monotonous at times. Same weekly and monthly meetings, a lot of "same problems, different quarter." Not ideal if you're looking for something a little more fast paced.

Good overall compensation package. The sabbatical keeps employees motivated.
