    Pros

    Culture is OK. Decent pay.

    Cons

New management comes in and ruins morale...you are never valued and always replaceable. That is the mentality.

    Pros

Good culture. Informatica has a good work culture compared to many Software product companies.

    Cons

Management always changing the way various tasks are done. Only thing that is constant is change. Change is supposed to be a good thing only if the change improves a process, most of the changes done by Infa Managment doesnt improve the process but just change it.

    Pros

Mid-sized company with talented, smart, hardworking colleagues. Excellent products with great customer loyalty. Good focus on innovation. Steady growth. The culture encourages new ideas and taking risks.
I see the evolution of the leadership team along with the growth of the company.

    Cons

-Informatica runs lean. This can be positive if you want to try new things but can sometimes lead to burn out from wearing too many hats.
-A culture with few directives means that necessary training doesn't always happen if the person who needs the training ops out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to keep your eye on changes that need to happen in order to support growth. Some required training may be necessary.

Former Employee - Software Engineer in Bangalore (India)

    Pros

    1. Excellent work profile, technically challenging, accountability

    2. ISP rocks (the team i worked for). We know far more stuff (about Software development) than the rest of the company (sans DTM).

    3. Oh hell yes, we have clear goals. We gotta get some stuff out by x date, and we get it done (occasional delays included). Period.

    4. Excellent mentors. More than helpful team.

    Cons

    1. Occasional friction with manager

    2. A little micro management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A little less micro management would be nice

    Pros

Some of the teams and their work environment is good. Non management people are quite friendly.

    Cons

    1. Highly biased towards IITians. They are paid much better salaries than other non IITians.
    2. There is a platform named ISP. You will be shouted at and abused often. Be prepared for frequent humiliation if you are joining this team.
    3. No clear goals. You do X, they will say you are not doing Y. You start doing Y they will say you are not doing Z.
    4. People with flowery talks matter more here then with sound technical knowledge and innovative ideas. Sharpen your flattering skills if you want to make progress. Work does not matter that is the harsh truth.
    5. If you get targeted all meaningless work will go to you. Then you will be shouted and abused again that you are not doing anything useful.
    6. There are frequent one on one's to humiliate and demotivate you.
    7. From ISP team on average 3 people leave in 6 months.

On the whole DO NOT JOIN ISP TEAM. AND AT THE END I WOULD SAY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED NOW CHOICE IS YOURS.

    Pros

great work-life balance ..flexible time offs.. good opportunity to grow..good compensation..friendly managers, free lunch and dinner..nice and intelligent people.. appreciation for work.. nice place to work in..great culture..

    Cons

learning curve, a lot of domain knowledge

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

just hiring the right people is not enough, giving them the right training to begin with is necessary. promote an environment where people who have knowledge share that knowledge with others. mode of transfer of knowlege is immature. Lot of time and effort can be saved if collaboration is proper.
