I worked at In-N-Out Burger part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The company pays above minimum wage, gives you gifts for Christmas and has all-expense paid picnics and treats employees well.

    Cons

The hours can be late if you close. You may be stressed on the job even though you think you wouldn't be. Mostly all the shift managers smoke because of the stress of the job.

I worked at In-N-Out Burger for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good Pay, Good friends, good hours, fast to move up. A lot of people coming through all the time, so you really get to meet a lot of different people out there.

    Cons

Very hard and rigorous work, some times mean managers during shifts. All depending on your manager and who your working around makes the biggest difference at that kind of job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Connect with your associates and gain their trust, rather than just challenge them in a negative way

    Pros

Great Wage for the industry; work with great people; good training and team development; fast pace, shifts go by fast; the company offers lots of benefits to their employees

    Cons

Sometimes working with young immature kids, the occasional nasty customer, you smell when your shift is over, you don't have a consistent schedule and working late nights and weekends

I have been working at In-N-Out Burger part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great people, good starting pay, ability to move up, training, company activities.

    Cons

Managers show favoritism, people who show interest in management move up faster than those who have been there longer. Depending on location the culture is a bit different.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to make associates feel more like you care. Many of the managers say they care, and that we can tell them anything, but don't follow through (management has been known to gossip as much as associates in Tucson).
