    I worked at H.B. Fuller

    Pros

Clean facility, decent schedule, nice people

    Cons

Instead of giving you constructive crisitism they give you the rope to hang yourself

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Current Employee - Plant Manager

I have been working at H.B. Fuller full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits and bonus programs can be better than some. Traditionally decentralized, with a lot of autonomy for plant and senior managers.

    Cons

After some expensive management failures, attempting to control more centrally. Becoming overly risk averse. A lot of butt-covering going on right now.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Accept some risk and get back to trusting management on the ground.

I have been working at H.B. Fuller

    Pros

Pace of change is exciting. With lean staffing in some areas, I've gotten experience in several areas outside my core expertise. Our CEO is inspiring, savvy, has made many strong leadership picks. Flexible scheduling.

    Cons

Company sometimes takes on new challenges without enough planning and resources to support them. Some leaders remain haphazard and undisciplined.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Surround yourself with people who really know what they're doing, who have the confidence and professionalism to tell you things you don't want to hear. Take time to do things well.

I have been working at H.B. Fuller full-time

    Pros

    Flexibility and good work/life balance.

    Cons

No career development unless you have a PhD. Even so, people end up in a management position. Too many middle level management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reward those who do the work, not the ones managing them.

    I worked at H.B. Fuller full-time

    Pros

Company pays well. They stick by their philanthropist ideals by donating time and money to different organizations.

    Cons

Makes changes without thinking them through - how it will effect others in the company. They talk about safety and how important it is to them but if you get hurt, they make up some excuse not to pay or report it to Workmans Comp. They dont want any injuries going on record. They talk about being "green" and dont even have a recycling program established.

  11.

    Pros

The people are extremely friendly and helpful.
There is a large amount of visibility throughout the organization.
    Great opportunities for advancement.

    Cons

At times the work load can be quite large because the staffing is particularly thin. There is not a cafeteria at my location.
