I worked at Guess? full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Lots of growth potential. Some of the greatest people working in upper management that always help promote. They stand by there people and pay very well. One of the few Canadian retailers who have zero debt, as a corporation that is awesome. They must be doing something right. Discount is great and product is very fashionable. They stand by what they sell.

    Cons

Since pay is very well bonuses don't happen that often, because sales quotas are through the roof. High pressure during slow seasons. Lots of turn over in staff. They promote work life balance but don't really stand by it. Incentives take months to get to you. Part timers are paid minimum wage and are pushed to sell astronomical numbers.

I have been working at Guess? full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    - great employee discounts
    - coworkers were like family
    - internal promotions -- no need to leave and then come back to be promoted like a lot of other companies
    - pocket money
    - decent full-time job

    Cons

It depends on the store, but where I worked hours were non-negotiable at times. There isn't a work-life balance. I wouldn't recommend this job for a student who is only looking to work part-time. People would call in sick every now and then because they wouldn't be able to get time off for an exam they needed to write.

    I worked at Guess?

    Pros

It is a fast paced environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. Co-workers are friendly and fun to work with.

    Cons

There is no commission structure, with little room for advancement. I was not offered any raises during the time I worked for the company and sometimes the scheduling may get a little unfair.

    Pros

Flexible hours, great work team, amazing environment, and mind blowing discounts!

    Cons

Little low on the pay, huge selling expectations, hours for associates depend on the amount of selling they do.

I worked at Guess? full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Sometimes fun, Discounts are awesome, product is nice.

    Cons

drama with co-workers, stressful because of sales goals, managers are rude and treat you like you are incapable of doing anything, getting time-off is near impossible.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

instead of implementing the 90 day rule, I think you should work with your employees to help them sell rather than threatening them with a ridiculous "90 day rule" plan.

I have been working at Guess? full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    employee discount, long lunch break

    Cons

exploitative work culture, paying very little and expecting slave labor, pressure to wear GUESS clothing and refusing to pay for it when demanded for special events, poor training, guess is literally stitches trying trying to be prada in terms of the quality of their clothing, long mandatory hours of work, incompetent management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

make better clothes, pay your employees more for the work you expect, train better, go back to the 80's when you were relevant and there weren't better fashion choices out there like today
