I worked at General Dynamics
Pros – Job Security, Free Fridays, relaxed environment
Cons – What a mess... Professional level is very low, no decision makers, a lot of idiots around....
Advice to Senior Management – Improve your management system. Two-tier management clearly doesn't work...

I worked at General Dynamics full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Profitable company, cash fat, diverse business model
Cons – Not much concern for the non-professional work force, unwilling to change to improve the process or the work environment, poor communication.
Advice to Senior Management – Improve your communication, learn to listen, use the feedback you do get and ask for feedback, work with your people they have a lot to contribute. No one will speak because of fear in the workplace.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

I worked at General Dynamics full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – a great group of people
Cons – A few VP's (the good ones) retired when faced with the direction the company is going. Middle management too busy kissing upper managements rears to get ahead (or to actually stay employed) so the focus on what's happening outside of the company is lost. They want to save money but they choose to ignore some of the unnecessary spending that goes on in middle management, specifically business development. For as many "smart" vp's that are there you think someone would of figured out by now that your employees are ripping you off. Middle management can't make a decision unless they consult numerous other people (popular vote seems to win).HR dept - doesn't protect the employee, protects the company. One can receive an "exceeds performance" on their PC and still get terminated while someone who gets "below" can retain their employment.
Advice to Senior Management – Recognize who your real workers are, get rid of those that "abuse" the many opportunities that General Dynamics offers.

Pros – Work hours, Location of facility
Cons – No growth. Management has no idea how to grow new customers and can only focus on US Army.

I have been working at General Dynamics full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – The office location is perfect. The procedures and processes are ethical and followed.
Cons – Upper management lacks vision and losing work base. The benefits have been drastically cut to cut costs. However no new work seems to be coming in based on lower costs.
Advice to Senior Management – Focus business development and invest in growing business.

I have been working at General Dynamics full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – It's good for entry level into a call center.
People that work there are all nice.
The hours are Monday thru Friday.
You can get holidays off.
Cons – You will not get a raise ever it's not in the contract.
You cannot get up trained they do not have it at that center.
They treat you like you are a robot not a human being.
Absences run on a point system not good for people with kids.
Advice to Senior Management – Management is not the problem. They work with what they have. The CEO's and higher of the company need to realize people cannot keep working at a company with no opportunities.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
