Current Employee – been working at Fujitsu Network Communications full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Work/Life balance is really good. Relaxed dress standards. Decent healthcare plan. Nice campus in Richardson. Very convenient location. Close to Frys.
Cons – FNC tends to solve budget problems with solutions that have a long term detrimental impact on its employees. As an example, FNC just reduced the maximum number of paid time off hours by a third to make the budget numbers look better. Very little chance for advancement.

Current Employee – been working at Fujitsu Network Communications full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Good pay and benefits. Relaxed work environment
Cons – Senior management does not seem to know how to get the company back to its profitable days.
Advice to Senior Management – Promote talent from within. Look at how many idiots you have as managers just because they can put in a show in meetings... The good employees are not recognized.

Current Employee – been working at Fujitsu Network Communications full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good knowledge experience, methodical way of working, process oriented, you get to work on most recent technologies, no maintainance work, Salary at par with Market
Cons – FNC is still not a legal entity in India. You will be employed under Fujitsu Consulting India Ltd (FCIL) which is a services company. Policy framework belongs to FCIL which follows services policy framework and not product company framework. Hence policies are far from satisfactory.
People employed by FNC in India needs to work with their outsourcing vendors wipro and Aricent. FNC India does not have its own office. At the moment they are sitting in Wipro Campus. There are plans though to come out of Wipro campus.
As of now they plan to operate from Chennai only.
Overall FNC India is still a work in Progress. But overall a good to have professional experience

Current Employee – been working at Fujitsu Network Communications full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – As a leader in the transport space FNC is working hard to maintain this leadership role. One avenue is to add services - data services (ELINE, ELAN, SOAM....) and OTN. This provides ample opportunities to get involved with new/different technologies. FNC is in a position where there are more things to do than staff, so finding exciting things to do is very easy if you are interested.
Cons – The Japanese business culture can be difficult to deal with. They ask a lot of questions and you are often left wondering why they are asking.
Advice to Senior Management – Define the culture and values of the company. Seek to find ways to decouple from Japan (hard to do when the mother ship is Japanese....)
