I worked at Florida International University

    Pros

Great culture, coworkers are friendly, friendly staff, approachable professors. A lot of opportunities for students for "work/study".

    Cons

Salary isn't that good, it doesn't make up for cost of living. Construction all the time, everywhere. Focusing on the medicine school, and some of the departments aren't getting the proper attention they deserve. That leads to funding in some departments which is very low or not there, little research opportunities for students. Not a lot of employment opportunities for alumni.
