    Pros

    Typical flex time environment. If you enjoy engaging with various customers, then this is the company for you. Leveraging understanding of operations, design, and manufacturing can be a potential to this organization as all of these are core competencies.

    Cons

    Old company mentality with very little new blood. A lot of this mentality is due to recent acquisition of similar firms: Nortel and Solectron. The company focus is to typically acquire companies with potential technology. There may be room to change positions, but the company operates as a small company under the umbrella of a larger organization. There is very little cross-functionality between departments.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    In short the greatest change that Flextronics could do is invest in their own company as oppose to acquiring new technologies through M&A procedures. There is very little R&D opportunities in this organization which is a hinderance to attracting innovative talent.

    Pros

    Overall Electronics Manufacturing service Knowledge available (theoretical).

    Cons

    Flextronics GBS India only supports support activity to manufacturing site, very hard to get promotions, i have total of 4 years experience still i am Junior Engineer here, regarding leave you need to apply before 2 months and that to not sure if gets approved. For Chennai region Managers are good to go however Pune- Managers & Tls giving hard time to there subordinates.

    Please see your Employees working here for more than 2 years still no opportunity of growth.

    Pros

    Is a strong and financially solid company, it offers very good benefits to their workers
    with global presence. Has a very strong portfolio of clients and extensive generating many jobs

    Cons

    Still presents serious opportunities to improve satisfaction oriented customer mentality
    where their customer service department in Mexico is still far from reaching maturity and solid service mentality. There is still a room to improve.
    They have everything to do and succeed, they just need to believe and start. Also many of the Programs Managers not really know the contractual terms

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Direct yours eyes and hands to a second level in Customer Service department in Mexico
    And not just follow numbers. The staff are Humans and not just a “numbers” on the payroll
    A happy staff will gives as a result a happy customers. Don’t just ask to the directors or general managers status on this. Go to the physical locations of the staff and ask them face to face with no managers and directors around and ensure by all means no labor consequences to their feedback.
    The care and management of staff cannot be seen as an expense or cost, must be seen as the most valuable investment, and capital of the company a situation that exposes the company and omissions may result in customer escalations
