Former Employee – worked at Flextronics full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – One of the best supervisors that I've had seen embedded in the middle management. Cannot say much about the other management levels, but mine acts more as mentor and coach than supervisor. Great place to learn new technologies, my supervisor is the only one that pushes me into positions that allows me to grow with the company.
Cons – Other careers paths within the company pretty much goes stagnant and offers not much of growth and advancement.
Advice to Senior Management – Need to know more of who's working for you rather than to only allow what your employees were originally hired to do.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Flextronics full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good training and experience potential working in a rapid paced Verizon Wireless retail location. Opportunities to meet the occasional celebrity, Ralph Macchio, Mick Foley, etc.
Cons – No pay raise or opportunity to advance over the 2 years I worked there. The only way to make more was overtime at other locations.
Advice to Senior Management – give raises to people who deserve it and motivation will return. It's tough to want to work harder when the guy next to you is slacking and making more.

Current Employee – been working at Flextronics full-time for more than a year
Pros – As a big company it has several areas to work and grow, from eingineering to management. HR and upper managemet woorking for it to be a good place to work. Coffe areas, even a little super market inside.
Cons – HR is not that flexible and have to check in check out even in Management positions, a lot of Micromanagemet. Some times overtime is not valued as something extra, more of a must do.
Advice to Senior Management – Improve management reviews for employees and reduce ongoing Micromanagement.

Former Employee – worked at Flextronics full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Flextronics is a very flexible company with wide range of interesting and challenging jobs. It's pretty easy to get hired and a very good place to start up your carrier.
Cons – However as easy to get hired that easy to get fired too.. As soon the company loses a business it starts to fire the employees without delay. Many times they warn employees very late, they get the information about the coming layoffs from the media earlier than from the company.
Stress is also a main factor, I wouldn't recomment Flextronics to someone with family.
Advice to Senior Management – Profit and customer satisfaction is important but the employees are the ones who make a company successful. Flextronics should care about his employees much better. There is a very big place for improvement in culture as well.

Former Employee – worked at Flextronics
Pros – Appears to want to improve customer service, Great lower management
Cons – Higher management is very detached, You hear a lot of text-book phrases about improvement and customer service but you quickly realize they are reading from a book and don't understand the underlying principles and qualities that lead to great customer service. Day 1 of training includes a slideshow that says "We are NOT legally required to give you breaks, but we do." That, in itself, shows that they are more concerned with setting the stage for removing breaks than they are with understanding why breaks are important for morale.
Advice to Senior Management – Get more in touch with lower levels of employment, understand their daily journey and needs, and higher someone who truly understands the spirit of great customer service and employee relations, not someone who reads from customer service books and uses a lot of clip art.

Current Employee – been working at Flextronics full-time for more than a year
Pros – Usually flexible schedule
Exposure to new mobile devices.
Cons – The management of the the RTS division is pitiful. I often wondered just how these people got their jobs.
The new hire training was a joke. The on-site training was full of drama and personal intrigue. There is no support from mid or upper management. If you follow policy, you are wrong. If you do not follow policy, you are wrong.
The company mantra is "Assign blame at all costs but, don't actually fix a problem."
Don't hope for a promotion unless you are a buddy of the person doing the promoting.
Raises are non-existant. Management has no idea of how to motivate, reward, or inspire.
Advice to Senior Management – At this point I would say clean house and start over. The problems are rooted so deep I see little hope to improve with current leadership and culture.
Fortunately I am moving on and have been hired by a company that is always in the top ten companies to work for.
Good riddance.

Current Employee – been working at Flextronics full-time for more than a year
Pros – Very challenging working environment; get to know people from diverse backgrounds and countries
Cons – Work life imbalance as bosses expect us to stand by 7/24. Besides, superiors will throw his/her jobs to you and never guide you (reason: they are too busy). Bosses will not listen to your concern, their just selfish. Very strong politics, all the bosses side their people even though is their mistake, and they will try to point their fingers to other departments. Terrible top management as they just expect the result without considering the process. Furthermore, bad temper's managers, will only show good faces to their bosses.
Advice to Senior Management – Kindly show respect to your employees, fight for your subordinates as they are the one who work for you!
