I worked at Experian as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Very friendly team mates.. Always open for suggestions.. Many new things to work.. Minds with innovative methods always at work.. You can get a real time experience of how credit services work..

    Cons

Less room for career growth ... However learning experience is good.. Cross team trainings are very rare to be seen.. Might get good opportunities with technological aspect but only with self effort..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Would be great to implement sessions to educate employees about outside of their work team..

I worked at Experian full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice, modern office building. Good salary for the sector and size of the company. Colleagues are nice, not too bad.

    Cons

More work and responsibilities does not equate more pay - i.e. you get promoted to a manager, but you still are getting the same money as your direct reports. Talks about pay raise are met with "can't promise anything, maybe in a couple of years." Local management is arrogant and their people's management competence - under question.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Local support heads are managers, but not leaders. You need more leaders locally, management can be done remotely, but a good example to follow should be local. Also, if promoting somebody - first secure their pay-raise and only then entrust them with the new responsibilities. Resentment ensues otherwise.

Current Employee - Senior Product Marketing Manager in London, England (UK)

I have been working at Experian full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good graduate scheme. Talented people at lower levels.

    Cons

No formal training at all. Promotion not based on skill, its based on who you know. Strategy defined years in advance by senior management, those in product marketing and product management are really just there to tow the line. No P&L responsibility at all in any product team. Low salary. Overpaid CEO. Business in big trouble with regulators and extreme cost cutting will continue.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As per other reviews, middle management dangerously lack in skill and experience and therefore fail to retain any talented recruits very long as there is nobody to look up to, no progression. Talented people never stick around. Blame culture and heavy politics. Strip out all layers of incompetent middle management, recruit externally. Lots of dead wood.

    Pros

Good salary for Bulgaria. You can earn more when you take an on call shift.

    Cons

There is no knowledge sharing so you should learn everything by the hard way. So it's a big challange.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They should start listen people what are they saying and appreciate them more.

I have been working at Experian full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Gain relationships with co workers
    Benefits
    Perks

    Cons

Management and supervisors look out for eachother. So there is no advancement besides people they choose. Promotion is based on being liked and not skill.
They have so many lawsuits, sexual harassment, discrimination, fmla and sadly HR takes the manager and supervisors side if you file a complaint. (They have a tight close unit)
The experian brand cheats there customers with the $1 trial every call is a upset member demanding refunds and we are trained not to give any refunds
This job does nothing for natural talent, it will drive you crazy...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Care about your employees and job instead of friendships
