I have been working at Equifax full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Compensation is good, time off is flexible and the beneifts are good. There are some changes that have happened but it appears to be moving in a more positive direction.

    Cons

Lack of transparency from upper management is an issue. Additionally there is a clear deliniation between jobs and levels here. One certainly knows where one is in the pecking order. And sometimes it is quite uncomfortable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think outside the box. Promote from within. And treat people like you care. It would be easier to like this job if we were not constantly watching jobs be sent offshore. AskHr, AskLegal, when a person has a question for HR they do not want to have an answer from an anonymous person in India.

I worked at Equifax full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Flex time, great PTO. Nice people to work with. One nice thing they did was move us to a sewhat nicer office.

    Cons

Equifax aquired my company. It use to be a great place to work. Now most people I work with hope they sell us off. There is no benefits to this job. Unrealistic performance expectations, set by higher management who have no clue as to what you do. The Lean garbage they force down our throats is beyond tiring.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up and quit abusing your employees. To senior management- try some employee engagement strategies. You are killing us.

    I worked at Equifax full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, and a very competitive salary

    Cons

Commissions are paid 3 times a year, which is very disconcerting for sales professionals. No enterprise wide consistency with divisions working together. Product innovation is very weak, and Divisional leaders are very poor in managing success and empowering their employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make some changes in your divisional leadership, and do more internal satisfaction surveys with your people.

    Pros

The Brand and their position in the market. Money is ok but not great. In the middle of a cultural changes that may work.

    Cons

Way to much projects and inititatives turned to be imposible to manage. Lack of focus and extremely bad relationship between family and work.

I have been working at Equifax full-time

    Pros

Stability. This organization has done a great job of navigating through a difficult economic climate.

    Cons

Process heavy, with no wiggle room, even when the process is counter to individual goals / objectives.
Tight fisted. Very limited on-going training for professional development.

It should be noted that MANY top performers are leaving, and Senior Management's efforts to keep them are not working. This is an interesting indicator of the culture within the organization.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start promoting from within. Promote those employees who have gotten the organization this far, quit bringing in outsiders for management positions.

I worked at Equifax full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

If you work hard you can make decent money but pay is very slow. Not the best pay or even up to par within the industry but benefits make up for that. Smart people with lots of experience. Decent work life balance and a positive attitude on working remotely if that is important to you. Good funding for new products and positive change happening to be a more innovative company and not a Me Too in the product space. Great place to work if you want future hiring managers to choose you as they will seek Equifax employees out knowing how hard it is to be successful here so you will be a rock star when you leave Equifax and go somewhere else.

    Cons

Operations, finance and legal led culture makes it challenging on sales and marketing. Sales people are bogged down by endless processes and not enough support. Most leadership spends their time in internal meetings and doesn't engage with customer facing employees to hear how things could improve for the end user experience. Very little personal growth available within the company no matter how successful you are. If you try to climb the ladder, be prepared for management to be vindictive and backstabbing trying hard to block any attempt from success outside their own group and HR will do nothing but back the good ole boy club in those attempts if they make themselves available at all.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You hire very well initially and have great experienced people on your teams. Stop the attrition to the competition and elsewhere. Restructure HR to become a trusted place for employees to share their concerns and talk about future growth. The key word is trusted.

I have been working at Equifax full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Flexible hours, home office, company will grow a lot!

    Cons

    slow, very political, conflicting priorities

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The leadership understand they need to focus on people but they can't give up the "bring me the numbers - ALWAYS" mentality. Employees receive mixed messages all the time. You receive a message, you see something different happening....it's confusing. Investments in people have been "on the table" forever and as an employee their good intentions can retain me for just so long. I'm yet to see their intention being translated into action.

I have been working at Equifax full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Visionary company. Equifax is in the position for great growth. Company has a clear focus on being the industry leader.

Management is very good and shows that they care for the employees. Company has significantly invested in the office environment and is making huge strides in employee engagement.

Company has a very good culture

    Cons

Employee awareness as to their career opportunities has been an issue in the past.

The leadership team acknowledged this issue and has been making adjustments & investments into the HR systems and creating a framework that will inform all people programs, including talent development, performance management and compensation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing. You have fostered a great culture and have the company firing on all pistons to drive future growth.
