Former Employee - Senior Project Engineer in Bangalore (India)

I worked at Wipro full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

One of the few companies that provides openings in VLSI for freshers from non-IIT , non-NIT colleges

    Cons

Lot of wiproites believe they are at the cutting edge of technology but its really not the case.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Nothing much. Cant help it being a services company.

Former Employee - Systems Engineer in Aberdeen, Scotland (UK)

I worked at Wipro full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Aberdeen office is in a scenic location

    Cons

Poor personnel management, Hr uninterested in staff (only care about meeting target 100% time sold)
Very poor T&C's; practically no benefits or OT, legal minimum sick pay and holiday allowances etc.
Internal infrastructure and IT provisions are very poor, unreliable and in general disarray.
Huge disconnect between head office in India and the poor relations in the Uk, feels like a forgotten outpost. Accounts incapable of processing project paper work, difficulty in being able to bill clients for work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You staff are an asset, not an expense. Invest more in your employees, in both time and training, and you will reap the rewards.
