Pros

Wal-Mart is a "You-Are-What-You-Are" company to work for. if you are a mediocre employee with little drive to advance, don't expect the silver platter, but if you have a desire to serve, to advance, and to complete expectations, then the opportunities are endless.

Cons

90 waiting period for Associate Discount

Advice to Management

Remember two things: Take care of your employees and your employees will take care of you. And "Don't put off till tomorrow, that which can be done today."

    Pros

    Flexible
    Clean Store
Usually provide you with all the supplies you need

    Cons

Managment makes or breaks a store and some managers act like slave masters constantly asking what you are doing when you are doing something.

It's nice that the customers always right but customers have way to much power. People who are just having a bad day will come in and demand their way then complain to managers if you don't comply. Which in term will lead to you getting fired if it happens enough whether you did right or wrong.

    Advice to Management

You have TMAT, CSM's, and close to 70 employe's working at any given time. Let them do their job and don't hassel people unless it's just not getting done at all. Of course direct manager intervention is needed in area's like GM unloading but there is no need for managers to walk around the store and spy on associates.

  2. This was a fun, organized place to work.

    Pros

Get your schedule 2 weeks in advance, very easy to call off or switch days with people, get to work with people.

    Cons

Some managers are hard to work with like any other company. Had to remind them multiple times before they actually helped me out with something.

    Advice to Management

Actually listen to your front end and floor employees about what they need. They're the ones doing your up front work and make the customers happy.
