I worked at TransUnion as an intern for less than a year

Pros

Internship is flexible, you get some good experience, and can get a good reccomendation, the people are smart and friendly, and I got a full time offer after doing the internship.

Cons

You have to be realistic about pay, its an internship, and its not some crazy startup that is going to throw crazy money at you.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please keep the internship program, it realy is wonderful.

I have been working at TransUnion full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Offers decent career growth with good work/life balance. Co-workers are friendly and offer advice without hesitation. Company provides lots of opportunity to socialize with fellow workers. The top most management is sort of approachable where the middle management is not.

    Cons

Not suitable for people who want a fast track career. Career options are limited and very few areas have chellenging/rewarding positions. There is too much process followed and use VERY old technology ! Compensation is not competitive either.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Technology is too old, need to upgrade at the earliest.Otherwise you'll lack teeth in your attack. Provide better renumeration and layout a career map for employees.

I worked at TransUnion full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Some good coworkers, excellent salary, ability to work on multiple projects and travel to visit clients. The office is well located in the loop and the work/life balance is great.

    Cons

Poor management, poor internal communication. Office is outdated desperately in need of new cubes and conference rooms. Overall, company is a bit on the old and non-innovative side.
