I have been working at The Children's Place part-time (more than an year)

Pros

good people
fun environment
managers work with you on your availability
DISCOUNT!

Cons

Hours vary too often
The on calls suck!
Unrealistic expectations
Lots of pressure to get the PLACE card
When they need you they need you and thats it no if ands buts about it
too much of a double standard....you cant be late but a manager can

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I suggest you start rewarding your employees better wages. Without them the company wouldn't be making any money. Also your deadlines are unrealistic and the window changes and floor sets are ridiculous. Your products aren't selling because of a display they aren't selling because they are not up with the current fashion trends for children.

I worked at The Children's Place part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The managers were wonderful, very friendly and extremely helpful. I loved all but one person I worked with. The kids are adorable that come into the store. Only had a couple rude customers which the manager handled for me. Good employee discount.

    Cons

Employees did not get hours even during the holiday. Some weeks I did not get any hours at all and others I was given one day maybe two if I was lucky. No hours means low to no pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't hire people if you can't pay them or give them hours.

I have been working at The Children's Place part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Honestly if it wasn't for the people I work with, I would have quit a long time ago. But if you have kids you save a lot of money on clothes!

    Cons

The amount of work they expect of you for very low wage is rediculous! The hours are nothing you could ever support yoursef on, unless you are lucky enough to get into management..Associates in my store average from 8 to 20 hours per week.....
