I worked at THINK Together full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    - It is great to have a job where you can truely make your daily work mission-driven
    - The lower level staff- the HUB staff and SCs are a great group of people to work with and learn from

    Cons

    - Incredibly unappreciate company to work for.
-THINK has lost sight of the mission. It spends more time on expansion, and for profit ventures, and is doing little to strengthen the existing programs, and reward the hard working (and underpaid) staff
    - Because it is non profit, wages are low. That is expected. The addition of new upper level staff making six figures is mind blowing considering everyone else is getting pennies.
    - Many management level employees are not qualified or productive in their positions; there is often hires based on connections and who they know that can clearly not manage or run a team.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not just say you believe in the mission. Act on it. Run THINK as though it is truely for the kids, and reward those that are already doing that on a daily basis.

I worked at THINK Together full-time

    Pros

The best part of this job is having a positive impact in the lives of not only students but also their entire families.

    Cons

There is a true lack of support for the employees that work the front lines of this company (with the families and the students). There is a large lack of expertise in the management team that leads the region. Due to the lack of knowledge there is a large disconnect in the delivery of information from upper management to the lowest level in the chain of command. There is also a great lack of professionalism and confidentiality in the hub office. Information that should be held in confidence is leaked to others. Human Resource is not impartial and there is no way for employees to voice their concerns without retaliation. In general there is a true disconnect in delivering the services promised to its stakeholders and the services they are actually providing.... for instance child to adult ratio is often out of compliance. Program Leaders, Site Coordinators and many other staff members are unappreciated and recognized. These employees are often thought of as easily dispensable and not valued. There are no raises and the only form of recognition is a paper award that is handed out to program leaders at the end of the year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember what the mission is really about.
