I worked at State Street full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - great benifits
    - they want to hire from within and also promote

    Cons

    - employee moral is way down after many layoffs and re-org that has everyone working much harder
    - they say that they want to ensure work life balance at the top, but that doesn't trickle down to the VP or AVP level

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Something little would go a long way. A work from home day or a lunch out would do wonders for employee moral.

I worked at State Street full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

You could get lucky and end up on a team worth working with and earn new fiends.
    Pay is decent.

    Cons

    oh, so many cons...
    Management sucks/ bipolar management
    Boring job
    Not appreciated
Definitely not an environment for young workers
Everybody tries to get in your business and then go cubicle to cubicle gossiping
Could not walk to the restroom without feeling watched

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make employees feel more like humans and show your gratitude for their hard work instead of setting up "assembly lines" and demoralizing them.
