Sodexo Employee Review

Current Employee – been working at Sodexo full-time for less than a year

Pros – good benefits
three weeks vacation
friendly environment
they invest in training their people
good resources are provided through phone and internet
free meal for food service managers

Cons – they expect you pay you for a 40 hour work week and expect you to work 50 hours, My schedule is set up that I work 10 hours a day, 5 days a week. Also, I was told in my interview that I would be working at 7am to 4pm or so. Then when I got there my schedule changed after a week to sundays and mondays atarting at 4am!!! and the other days i start at 9am. Also, I have enough work to do for more than 10 hours a day. I am always busy, which is good, but sometimes the amount of work I have is sooooo overwhelming.

Advice to Senior Management – Sodexo talks about a great work/life balance, but I don't see how that is possible when you expect us to work 50 hours a week and get paid for 40. Either give us more money or only make us work 40 hours a week.
