wonderful company screwed up upper management

I have been working at Salesforce.com full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Great company with good values, wonderfully cared by the top management but screwed up by some indian managers who mimics third world managerial attitude

Cons

some organizations managers are screwed up and makes life hell like the one i work for.. frequent top management changes bringing in new company directions.. still feels like startup mode company with lack of direction in IT.

    Be careful if you are not selling the core sales cloud

    Pros

    Great brand recognition and marketing. Broad product line. Competitive comp. high energy, smart people

    Cons

    Company only understands direct sales and has not embraced and invested in indirect sales channels. Senior management of indirect sales has no experience or background. Consistently under invest and make short sighted decisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Move indirect channels underneath sales. Consolidate the stovepipe legs into a single one with scale and hire a strong leader with a vision and experience.

    Pros

    Nice people to work on projects or hang out after a workday. Awesome product to sell. Very few disappointed customers

    Cons

    Too much process which are struggling any creativity on a daily basis. Becoming a factory.. Career path to follow your current position, you can work on what you like but if you want to go for something else, prepare to suffer..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Listen to what your employees are saying, and work with them on their career development. Saying they are wrong if they don't follow you is not the best argument to convince them. Stick with the values which have done the companies. It is not because the company is getting bigger that we have to sell our soul..
