I worked at RealPage full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Absolutely none to share other than the few people who were genuinely nice and helpful. Some activities were fun. The often catered food and monthly birthday cakes were nice.

Cons

Company strives for mediocrity and then celebrates it.
Avoid this company at all costs.
Very high turnover.
Very critical and abusive managers who often throw their employees under the bus, and openly criticize employees to others (management and peers) behind their back therefore leading to rumors and negative feelings among peers and creating an atmosphere of distrust and hostility.
Total lack of interdepartmental cooperation and communication. Job expectations not commensurate with salary.
HR is a big joke and totally pro management. Don't look to them for help.
Benefits and PTO are severely lacking.

I worked at RealPage full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The benefits are Ok, the pay is average, and you can get up to 3% raise if you do a good job
Stable company, i only seen 1 small round of lay offs in 3 years

    Cons

Micro management in some organizations, it was so bad that within a year, half the team staff left the company, and the other half were actively looking.
I know several groups/organizations that suffered the same problem
Some organizations were better managed, like OpsTechnology, YieldStar and Leasing and rent

Late commission checks, constant hectic changes, and micromanaged to death.

I have been working at RealPage full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Realpage's Seniorliving.net does help families who need guidance with assisted living and retirement communities. It is 100% work from home. It is a good way to learn more about a growing market with seniors and their families.

    Cons

The job advertisement is full of lies. There is really no base pay. When you get your first three moves, your commission is held to pay them back for the 9.00/hour base. It takes 6 days a week and 10 hours a day to meet the numbers they want most of the month. You will be micromanaged to death about making at least 50 calls a day and converting the "right" number of families even if they are crap and will waste your time and the customer's time for months. Some of the sales managers have no clue how to actually sell.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of being constantly innovative and experimental, why not let the educated and qualified adults that you have hired have a little stability and freedom to get the job done? Hire more sales managers who actually have assisted living sales experience so that the unqualified folks you have now aren't managing so many people.
