I worked at Ovations Food Services

    Pros

Flexible hours, seasonal work. Full network of support. Ask questions without hesitation and always received great help. Pleasure working there!

    Cons

Stupid bosses at times. Constantly moving boxes and warehouse items back and fourth do to inventory restrictions. Month ends were horrible due to the lack of technology and the severity of the counts of all charge-ables and non-charge-ables

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust your workers more. If they deserve raises- give it to them. The company was running more smoothly with less restrictions two to three years ago.

I have been working at Ovations Food Services

    Pros

Decent pay when work is needed by the supporting company (Roanoke Civic Center)
Healthy level of competition between coworkers
Never boring, always something that needs to be done: stock, sales, cleanup, etc.

    Cons

Not allowed to stand still (i.e., never boring)
Depending on the venue and event, work may not be needed but once a month. The pay is decent for a weekend, but not reliable.
Not much of an opportunity for occupational growth

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have no qualms with leadership at Ovations, though there were a few occasions where I questioned the abilities and focuses of my coworkers. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with my experiences with their program.
