If you are a senior in engineering or computer science, apply to Northrop Grumman!

Software Engineer (Current Employee) Baltimore, MD (US)

ProsNorthrop really respects their employees and is very focused on work/life balance. They really go after college students for internships and their personal development program, which is great for 'touring' different offices for a few years.

They also have telecommuting for some work, and its likely to get easier to this in the future!

ConsThe compensation is not as high as some of the other defense contractors, but its not too far off and the benefits of working @ NGC probably outweigh the difference.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep up the good work. The focus on work/life balance is important in today's busy life.

A challenging, satisfying place to work

Laboratory Research Analyst (Current Employee) Redondo Beach, CA (US)

I have been working at Northrop Grumman

Pros: If you want to help create cutting edge projects, this is the place to be. You are not held back by your job title.… Cons: Nothing moves fast. It's a combination of customer requirements and the bureaucracy of a large company. But, no union work rules,… Advice to Senior Management: Get down to the shop / highbay floor and talk to some of the average employees about what is going on. Or better yet....provide anonymous feedback… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More

    Nice Place to Work

    Section Manager (Former Employee)

    I worked at Northrop Grumman

Pros: Great training opportunities for new college graduates. Cons: Like all organizations, relatively few enrichment opportunities for senior staff. Advice to Senior Management: Keep up the good work, in general, but make sure… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
