Pros

Good incentive plan. Accessible management. In the past 3 years the company had been doing very well. Collaborative environment

Cons

Inconsistent management - depends on department. Some groups have very poor managers that do not see the larger picture.

    I worked at NiSource full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Salaries are competitive with the industry. Work atmosphere for the most part is very friendly and comfortable. Job functions are pretty clearly defined by management. Upper level corporate changes indicate desire to move forward.

    Cons

    Growing pains are difficult on existing staff due to lack of, either interest in, or established protocol to permit communication vertically in corporate structure in both directions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Invest more effort in establishing and maintaining lines of communication between upper management and those in the trenches.
