I worked at NBTY (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I worked there for 10 years 2001-2011. Was a great company to work for while Scott Rudolph (son of the founder) ran the company.

    Cons

Bought by the Carlyle Group, an investment group in 2010. Now employees are just pieces in a big puzzle to make very rich people richer. They're downsizing, consolidating, and squeezing all the profits out of the company they can. Watch your back!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

don't eliminate jobs - especially if the person is performing well. We have families to feed.
