There is an amazing 'work - life' balance at Microsoft who value employees as their greatest assets.

Partner Technical Consultant (Current Employee)
Bangalore (India)

I have been working at Microsoft full-time for more than 3 years

ProsAmazing work - life balance
Fantastic facilities
Supportive work culture
Very skilled co-workers

ConsToo much focus on numbers

Advice to Senior ManagementThe number based rating shouldn't be too much emphasized and pushed through, so that talented and skilled people will continue focus on quality and other non-quantifiable values like enthusiasm and calmness

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Great company with lots of opportunity to move and grow, but no work/life balance

Program Manager II (Former Employee)
Redmond, WA (US)

I worked at Microsoft full-time for more than 10 years

The performance review process is overly political, pits you… Advice to Senior Management: Discard the old Gates-style stack ranking process, it's time for… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More

Microsoft is a good place to work at, but do not think it's a ray on the Earth

Strategic Project Manager (Former Employee)
Moscow (Russia)

I worked at Microsoft as a contractor for more than a year

Pros: International work experience, Life-work time balance (although working hard), ambitious… Cons: Too heavy bureaucratic machine, company values are the words only, too many intrigues, too many people… Advice to Senior Management: Come back to Bill's LT-insight and strategic approach Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
