Current Employee – been working at MetLife full-time for more than 7 years

ProsGreat atmopshere
Awesome training and leadership
Huge selection of financial products
Freedom to build your own practice

ConsOver time you end up paying for everything. Your judgement gets clouded because if you don't sell MetLife life insurance or MetLife annuities, you won't get paid. Grid payout is based solely on your selling of MetLife products. As a planner (fiduciary), I shouldn't feel the pressure because of compensation, to recommend certain financial products that our proprietary. I feel like I have to be an annuity salesman to make a living

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't penalize reps compensation just because all situations don't require a "MetLife" product.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
