Reasonable wages, good employee discounts and perks, very focused on team work and driven to complete goals.

I have been working at King Soopers full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Company match 401(k)
The comradeship of the besieged non-management types vis-a-vis management
The mask of frustration on supervisors face when he he knows that you know his commands are asinine

    Cons

The dismal realization that "Customer First" is too nebulous a concept for management to grasp. "Customer First", in practice, means that occasional deviation from Kroger scripture is necessary. The sinking feeling that advancement in career will require removal of joy and critical thinking faculties.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be honest with employees. The #1 goal is not "Customer First". The #1 goal is "Maximize shareholder value", as it should be, because the goal of any business is to make money. "Customer First" should be the #1 TOOL to accomplish the #1 goal.
