Former Employee – worked at Jefferies & Company full-time for more than a year

Pros – -Serves as a good "boot camp" for people new to sell side
-You will appreciate all future jobs much more
-You learn the "red flags" of a work environment
-Decent resume-builder

Cons – -Unending hours, not great pay under senior level
-Absolutely no regard whatsoever for employees as human beings. Actually not exaggerating.
-Zero, and I mean zero, HR supervision. Picture 1960's.
-All the negatives of unvestment banking lifestyle but not the pay

Advice to Senior Management – Care a little more about the people who are helping you make your money, even if it's just a "cost of doing business" like research. Or don't , but be honest about it.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
