I worked at Jefferies & Company as an intern (less than an year)

Pros

Awesome exposure, responsibility and visibility. Fantastic experience. Unparalleled live deal experience for a 10 week summer intern, was able to make a noticeable impact in the office and was recognized accordingly for my work.

Cons

Like any IB job, no personal life, many 90+ hour weeks etc.

I have been working at Jefferies & Company full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Jefferies' investment banking franchise is fast-growing and well-positioned for the future. If you want to make a career in investment banking, it's one of the best places to go.

    Cons

Work/life balance is nonexistent. If you want to be an investment banker, be prepared to regularly work 100+ hour weeks and not take vacations for a year at a time.
