I worked at Jacobs full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Senior management was generally good about updating employees in good times and bad times. Generally good engineers with a wealth of knowledge and experience - good to work with.

    Cons

During the slow times, there was no effort to connect employees with other Jacobs offices. The company logo "people are our greatest assets" was not consistently apparent in terms of career development.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make a stronger effort to connect NASA Jacobs with other Jacobs entities - beneficial for knowledge and experience exchange, and for developing more well-rounded employees.

I have been working at Jacobs full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Salary; Flexible schedule; the view from my office; and the restaurants in the vicinity.

    Cons

Inept management; money-driven, not safety driven; and conduct, integrity, and business ethics are questionable. The team/project to which you are hired or assigned can make or break the way in which your role develops.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Practice what you preach. If you want me accountable, you better learn the meaning of accountability. Learn effective business management strategies. Learn how to communicate. Stop the "glorification of busy" - everyone is "busy" and that's the lamest excuse to use for not effectively communicating.
