Pros

There is good pay and excellent team to work with.

Got big company so get prepared to stick with it for long time because you will like it.

    Great people working there, good environment, good pay

    Cons

    Need more room for advancement, can feel less superior to others because they will bash you if you don't know how to do something, not very organized, too much is expected

    Don't poke fun out someone if they don't know something, get more organized

    I have been working at Hobsons full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Hobsons is a really nice place. Beer cart to raise money for education charities on Fridays, great sales meetings with open bar in the evenings, and and an "open door" policy, making it easy to interact with executives. Especially in Cincinnati, the leaders seem to truly enjoy hanging out with employees socially. In fact, that seems to be a requirement for anyone who wants to advance.

    Cons

    Hobsons reminds me of a movie set. People play the part, going to meetings all day, responding to tons of emails, and running around like good little children. But, it doesn't seem like anyone has any business sense. I thought collaboration was all about gathering feedback from experts and using it to craft an answer that is of higher quality. At Hobsons, it means everyone gets to be part of every conversation. The number of people there who have VP titles is hilarious, given that most of them would be lucky to be senior manager at a publicly traded company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take note that the leadership in Cincinnati, with a few exceptions, pales in comparison to the expertise and experience that the Arlington team brings. Also, perhaps your retention policy at all levels should focus on competence, not tenure or personal relationships.
