Pros

Relaxed atmosphere and flexible working schedule

Cons

Right now it is struggling and you never know when the next layoff is since they've been doing so many. Morale is really low but depending on which group you are in.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Next time you do 10% pay cut you should apply that to your bonuses also... 10% pay company-wide is fine but when your base salary is 250k and you make millions in bonuses that is not calculated in the pay cuts is unfair

    Pros

    Large company with wide opportunities in multiple technologies; multitude of customers within Fortune 500; stability during challenging economic times; great benefits.

    Cons

    Poor communications within the division and especially across geographies and other business units; motivated employees leave often.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Recruit and retain top talent, greatly improve communications up and down as well as horizontally.

    I have been working at Hewlett-Packard

    Pros

    people and the flexibility are the only pros of HP

    Cons

    theres the expectation that the people who are kept instead of WFRed will put in overtime hours but how are you suppose to be motivated to work hard when you get a pay cut, benefits cut, stock program removal and additional responsibilities.

    -need to reward employees
