I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Great work/personal life balance
Interesting projects to work on and great internal stakeholders in the US

Cons

No budget for travel to meet clients/customers/team on a regular basis
Senior management is mostly from Genpact and infusing that cost cutting culture into HP.
Not much career growth can be expected unless someone senior quits

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start properly managing seats and empower employees to work from home.
In doing so, save costs, and also ensure that those funds can be made available for the team rather than spending money on silly games/opening new offices.

    Pros

    Solid culture and values;
    You manage your own career;
    Corporate environment stimulate the innovation and challenges.

    Cons

    The culture of services (QoS, SLA/SLM) is not so good and needs some improvements;
    Bureaucracy and slow pace in decision making drain the innovation spirit, sometimes;
    The decision to lay out incompetents and not committed people are hard to be taken.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Medium and/or senior management should work close to the employees and follow up their skills development and needs. Nothing is better than the direct contact with the people. Virtual environments are great but we are humans! We need to be in touch with people, sometimes.
    keep the corporate environment clean and free of lazy, malcontent and sourpuss employees and people who isn't committed and don't want to support on the HP's growth.
