    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Rate your employees fairly. The department that performs well shouldn't be affected by the department that performed poorly

    Pros

Very safe job. Solid benefits and decent starting salaries. Very difficult to be fired. Provide lots of opportunities to find mentors and interact with upper management.

    Cons

High performers are not given adequate opportunity to increase responsibility, pay, or job level. Even the top level performers are told to stay in their current roles or rotate laterally. Incredibly difficult to break into management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide better opportunities for top performers. Show the inside track to management.
