Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management always impressive but some heads of teams lack people management skills and appear at times to have been promoted for their commercial impact and not their leadership skills

I have been working at Goldman Sachs

    Pros

The experienced and compensation are unmatched.

    Cons

There are long hours and lots of hard work. Team work and the ability to function in a team and build concensus is crucial.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Disseminate information to employees as detailed and as often as possible, don't let us find out about something newsworthy from TV.

    I worked at Goldman Sachs

    Pros

Great name recognition, will push you to your limits. The company has a fantastic benefits package. The company seems to care a lot about the community (they certainly give their employees a lot of opportunity to get involved). There are so many experts. You will learn a lot and be very marketable if you later choose to leave the company.

    Cons

There is too much work. Sometimes being around so many smart people (even if you are very smart yourself) is a little exhausting. Sometimes people are a little cocky.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the good work
