Current Employee - Visual Merchandiser in San Francisco, CA (US)

Pros

fun, young people. trendy environment. very good place if you're young and wanna be inspired

Cons

very messy floorsets; not enough coordination between visual merchandising and merchandising teams. lots of piece-y items that should be put on sale so there can be space for new products. also, company needs to learn that they need to invest in their employees. not giving a 6-month review is a horrible idea. employees just dont get enough respect and recognition for their work.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

again, company needs to learn that they need to invest in their employees. not giving a 6-month review is a horrible idea. employees just dont get enough respect and recognition for their work.

Current Employee - Sales Associate/Cashier  in  New York, NY (US)
Current Employee - Sales Associate/Cashier in New York, NY (US)

    Pros

Hourly wage was higher than the norm (other stores start at $8.50/hr, forever 21 starts at $10/hr), large diversity among employees

    Cons

Low hours, managers ignore coworkers constantly calling out without having someone cover, managers don't allow us the 3 breaks we're entitled to, less deserving employees get most of the hours out of favoritism

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Practice equality among employers, give the hours to those who deserve it, enforce ALL rules and policies

    Former Employee - Accessory Specialist

    Pros

    Non- micromanage
    easy to promote
    great pay for retail

    Cons

Inconsistent hours, was still not full time with benefits with a manager title... after working there for nearly 2 years! If you slip up once in the holy world of the numerous managers, you can consider your hours basically non existent. Expected to meet unexpected deadlines out of no where that need to be finished before the next day... that should take a week! ABSOLUTELY NO DIRECTION!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pull your head out of your ____ !! Apparently cashiers are the true leaders of the world in this company... and the rest of us are the scum of the earth.
