I have been working at FedEx full-time for less than a year

Pros

Working in FedEx helps you to better understand the real corporate world. You will be involved in all the meetings of the on going projects in the team. Everybody is so friendly and the living PSP is everywhere around FedEx.

Cons

Sometimes team members might be busy with the work they are already assigned with and so are helpless when you need to know something but that remains only for sometime. Later at some point of time, your mentor or your manager will help you finish your objectives assigned during your internship.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Assign mentors to the interns immediately as they start their internship at least for the first few weeks until they understand the environment.

I have been working at FedEx part-time for more than a year

    Pros

For the hours you work, you can make a fair amount of money.
Most Managers started as a package handlers themselves.

    Cons

While there are clear goals that you know you have to make, it's focused on almost entirely as a way of rating work. There are general barriers such as the flow of work that isn't taken into account.

The company prides itself on safety, but one of the reasons that safety ends up being overlooked from the package handler to the manager, is that it can get in the way of reaching the numbers expected of them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look into things that may hold back people from working up to their par that may be out of their control. Reasons why people aren't being safe, because they're not purposely trying to harm themselves.

I have been working at FedEx full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Hours are good depending on which store location, plenty of work and never boring, lots of self improvement offerings

    Cons

Self center co-workers, seem to blame other people instead of solving the issues, lots of transferring of work orders to other shifts that they do not want to do, there are no incentives to move up due to lack of small bonuses

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees that have been with the company for many years, they have lots of great ideas.
